Formed in 2001, the Corpus Trombone Quartet has won first place in four major international competitions, a unique achievement in this category worldwide. They have performed numerous tours and concerts around the world, including the USA, Japan, and France. They are regular guests at international brass and trombone festivals. Several contemporary Hungarian composers, including Miklós Malek, Gyula Fekete, László Dubrovay, and Péter Wolf, have dedicated works to them. They have received the Artisjus Award three times for performing compositions written for them. Their main sponsor is the Michael Rath Instrument Manufacturing Company in England. In 2024, the Ministry of Culture and Innovation awarded the Corpus Quartet the Franz Liszt Prize.
As part of the Auer Festival, the Corpus Trombone Quartet will present a completely new programme at St. Michael's Cathedral in Veszprém, leading the audience from Renaissance music through Baroque to contemporary Hungarian compositions.
Programme subject to change.
