An extraordinary world music sensation will be on display this year at the 10th edition of the International Auer Festival. This unique blend of jazz, rock, world music, and film music guarantees a heightened atmosphere! Formed in 2010, VOŁOSI is one of the leading ensembles in the Polish world music scene, winning numerous international awards. Since their formation, they have performed over 850 concerts worldwide, becoming celebrated stars at various concert venues and festivals, including King's Place in London, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Sziget Festival, Wiener Konzerthaus, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, and the Rainforest World Music Festival.
In terms of sound and composition, VOŁOSI is undoubtedly one of the most unique string formations, embarking on a grand world tour among music lovers.
The five virtuoso string musicians await world music fans in Veszprém with incredible energy, folk-inspired music, and a completely unique atmosphere. Their album with Lajkó Félix achieved continuous top rankings, placing it among the best world music albums in 2019. The BBC and several German public broadcasters regularly broadcast their concerts.
For the festival, they will bring their own songs, in which the musicians will unfold folk-inspired elements through improvisation, inviting the audience into a real world music whirlwind.
