Formed in Győr in 2020, this percussion trio's concerts showcase the diverse possibilities of percussion instruments, going beyond their traditionally known roles. Their repertoire includes not only classical percussion music but also their own arrangements of folk and popular music. Their concerts often feature guest instrumentalists, and they have successfully collaborated with prose performers as well. Besides musical education, they aim to popularise percussion music.
The Setup Ensemble's concert, titled "Percussive Folk Music," appeals to our instinctive curiosity about percussion instruments. The ensemble focuses on introducing the diverse nature of percussion to their audience, presenting folk music from various parts of the world in their own arrangements. They bring Hungarian, Balkan (Serbian, Macedonian, Bulgarian), and African folk music, featuring traditional drumming, interactivity, and many exciting instruments.
